Hello Edge owners, we need to build up the Hardware Compatibility List now that XIM Edge is shipping.

I'd really appreciate it if you could post to this thread if you own a mouse or keyboard that isn't already on this list: http://www.xim3.com/community/index.php?topic=20995.0

Mention your mouse and/or keyboard and whether is works with XIM Edge.

Thanks for your support of the project!

Hi there,

Just to let you know that JOYSTICK 'Logitech Extreme 3D Pro' does not work with XimEdge on a PS3.
I MOSTLY PLAY BATTLEFIELD 3 in PS3 with LOGITECH G13, LOGITECH GAMING MOUSE G600, and sometimes with MICROSOFT NATURAL ERGONOMICS KEYBOARD with the help of the XIM EDGE. - Sweet ;-)

Logitech K320 wireless keyboard with unifying receiver works as long as its the only wireless device being use on the xim edge.

I bought my XIM Edge with the famed Logitech K120 keyboard/G400 mouse combo, all together used on Ebay. I didn't like the bulkiness of the keyboard and wanted something more compact and chiclet-style (like a little laptop keyboard, and a mouse that was less bulky. To my surprise and joy, both of these work fantastically with my XIM Edge:

$13 A-Jazz Ray-Eagle 2400DPI mouse with woven USB cord, pretty LED lighting, 5 functional in-game buttons, plus two on-board DPI/sensitivity adjustment buttons:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221172806846?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

This mouse is surprisingly good for a China-made Razer clone. It's been my long-time desktop gamer mouse; used in Deus EX:HR, L4D2, Crysis series, etc. and always performed well. I love it, and its movement seems to feel just a little bit more agile than the trusty G400's bulky frame, but then again my G400 was used and broke after a little while, so maybe it was flawed, or maybe I just hadn't found the sweet-spot in its settings yet. In any case, I just ordered two more of these mice about ten minutes ago (from above link), for my laptop and desktop

For the Keyboard, I went with a conveniently compact black chiclet-style 78-key off-brand thing that works just fabulously. It was $16.99 here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/78-Key-USB-Slim-Mini-Small-Keyboard-Compact-Desktop-Laptop-PC-Server-Black-NEW-/261180996904?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D6155112921128997599%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D261165660296%26

Keyboard has good comfortable spacing between keys (about the same as a regular keyboard, although if you're a big burly gamer with giant bear-paws and sausage fingers, or just just hate laptop-esque keyboards, you might wanna go for a regular- or large-sized keyboard), and a nice clickety-click feel for the buttons. No LED back-lighting or anything fancy.

Hope this helps.

Have been using one as well for a few months with no problems.

Steelseries Merc does not work of the left side of the "gamer" portion of the keyboard. The regular WASD keys work however.

I have Logitech MK710 mouse/keyboard combo and it works fine.  I finally decided to use PS3 Move Nav controller and the M705 mouse (part of MK710 mouse/keyboard combo).

I am planning to get Logitech G700 mouse (is this a good choice for XIM Edge?

I tried to use Saitek ST290 pro joystick, but had no luck getting it working...
Saitek ST290 pro's POV hatch buttons and the 6 handle buttons can allow me to use the mouse just for look and fire and the joystick to move + all other functions.  I have been using this joystick + mouse on my PC for all the FPS games (don't need a keyboard because of all the buttons), and have had a wonderful playing experience.  Saitek has a program that allows me to map every button and axis to key strokes.
Please please please get Saitek ST290 pro supported.

Welcome to the community. Are you using your PS3 Move Nav in wireless mode? If so, the G700 is as great choice.

No I am using the mini-usb cable.  Is there a difference between Nav in wireless mode vs. cabled mode?

Also, I read that optical mice are better than laser and DeathAdder 2013 is rated high on forums here.  My only issue is the lack of buttons on Death Adder (however, with paystation Nav's buttons, and death adder's buttons, i should be covered).

No difference. It's just that you could run the Nav in wireless with your Edge if you wanted to.
