Rainbow Six Siege mouse movement delay?
« on: 08:44 PM - 03/18/17 »
Recently I have been playing a lot of Rainbow Six on the ps4 and now that I am getting a little frustrated when playing because the game seems to have a bit of a delay when trying to look around with the xim4. I am wondering if there is any fix or setting I can tweak for this problem.

If you're like me, I felt very sluggish moving from R6:S on PC at 120hz to my PS4 on a regular 1080p TV. I tried all the curves/ fast turning. I thought people were crazy who said XIM on PS4 feels very close to PC. Well I moved the PS4 to my desk, and play on a monitor now. It feels way faster. It was the input delay caused by my TV that made it feel so sluggish.

So if you're playing on a television, try switching to a monitor! Worked for me.

Time-based acceleration - can't fix it.

I play on a gaming monitor I have for my pc but there is nothing I can really do about the delay so I just ended up buying rs for pc instead of having to deal with the delay especially when im in high plat

Delay or time-based acceleration?

It was delay, I would move my mouse then I guess a half a second or so then the character in-game would move. This is the only game I really have it on.

ps4 or ps4 pro?

Reason I asked is you have the option to update your firmware to the latest version 20170103, it helped me out with the delay, definitely see the difference.

You can always downgrade the firmware to your current one, save the backup.
